Welcome to VV jayman. We have someone in this group that should be able to decode your vin number. Post your complete vin and other codes as well that are on the vin plate on drivers door. Also look around under dog house lip and match up door plate with the number stamped on the floor under dog house. Doors can be changed, which means vins can change. But most times the floor will always be there. If you can't find it there look behind passenger tail light (inside body, behind brace) That's where the ford models have their numbers. Ford and Mercs are basically the same other than the Mercury lettering on the nose. I believe Ford is US manufacturing, and Merc is Canadian. Can't waite to see some pics when you get a chance.

Welcome aboard jayman, Eh?!!! I'm originally from New Brunswick. I've been in the states since I was 3 so I'm pretty Americanized now but still have many relatives up North! Can't wait to see some pics of your Mercury. You're gonna love it here. Plenty of very helpful folks on this site.

There's an online VIN decoder but I don't know if it works on the Merc's or not. Marc at OldEconolines can get it done for you for sure.

econolineid.com has a page for Canadian Fords, may cover your Merc.  Go to page, scroll down to "VIN Decoder" and click " page for econolines manufactured in Canada" near the top.  Hope it helps!!
