Re: Pop-Out Window Frames
Alright Crazy, add another 4 onto the list.
I tooled around/drove around in my van this last weekend, and I can't see the chrome look as it's orange/white/black.
What would look better for black? Anodized or powder coated?

It has warmed up around here and I'm changing my "probably down for a pair" to "definitely down for a pair".
Plus, my girlfriend is starting to give me a hard time about not fixing up the van enough. (She's a keeper:)

Re: Pop-Out Window Frames
Sure is my girl is mad at me all the time but see will get over it. And if not see ya I am building this van for my son so he will always have a part of me when im gone. I took this pic tonight of the boys they were in the barn with me for hours today. I think he knows this one is his. Im getting closer to getting the van driving and then back to the frames sorry its taking so long I have priorities of my own to take care of first.

It may take a while to get'r done, but as long as you keep it fun and not let it get you burned out....then it will get done all in good time. Keep those pics coming so we can all enjoy it with you.

Re: Pop-Out Window Frames
Hm, good question. I'll grab measurements tomorrow off of mine as I have a 2nd gen as well.
It would figure that they kept it the same, more common spare parts.

Re: Pop-Out Window Frames
I have the second gen latches on mine. One doesn't stay tight when the window is popped out. Can that be adjusted or must it be replaced?

Re: Pop-Out Window Frames
The frames are the same from 64-70. The latches interchange. Rebuilding the latches to make them tight would be an issue. I've searched for the proper length/diameter pins, with no luck.

Re: Pop-Out Window Frames
There is a piece of spring steel that holds the pop outs out. That probably could be replaced with new spring steel but you would need to bend it and im not sure how that would be.
