Re: My vintage camper
Its the reason i wont be camperiseing my van.I picked this up in minnesosta.Ibought it off e-bay for 7 hundred but after telling him he falsely advertised it [said there was no water damage] i got it for $350.oo I had to seal the roof and replace the wood in the overhang.

That is so cool, I grew up in a camper family. I cant read the truck, is that a 1 ton? What's that have under the hood? You might win a head on with a Prius...

Man, that thing is a BEAST!
Put a set of train horns on it and watch the people scatter as you drive down the highway!
Very cool!

Re: My vintage camper
hey slowrider . I/m not much into camper restoration , but I found a 67 g10 shortwheel base ,only after 2-3 yrs new , that was converted to a camper w'bed area over part of cab ,using same type of siding as yours ,basically it looks very professional ,only thing left of body is cab ,but center part of roof is cut out . stove, toilet/bathroom, stove, fridge , water tank, furnace . a lot of interior lites have 2 switches ,one for electric one for battery .it has sat since 93 outside, but says newer rebiult 6 cylinder was intstalled about a yr before stop driving . the drivers side has 2-3 ft. of siding pulled away from corner ,and one of the roof vents has leaked for a while . but the stance of a short wheelbase looks too cool. you you or anyone else know if older campers are generally a nightmare to patch up, I think its all there ready to prime up the drivetrain . I can pick up for only a few hundred , just looking for older conversion advise . thanks and may God bless . danny
