Hey everyone, Im new here as well, both to the site and to 'earlies'. I just bought this a couple months ago. It was really love at first sight (again). I didnt think anything could top owning a hearse, as I have a few, but I was way off.

Now, how in the heck do I post a pic and not just a link. I cant figure out this board for the life of me... but heres a link for now

yeah I already took some things from that red van at Pick Ur Part on tues and IM going again tomorrow.

and no I didnt see any 64 Chevys there. This weeks trip sucked but at least we found fenders for one of our Cadi's

I can tell you that the slant 6 is still in the van as well as the seats, dash cluster and all doors. The van isnt incredibly rusty, other than the engine housing looking like the titanic.

Thanks for the part # for the antennae. I need to get one to fill the hole and lessen the wind noise on the road.

This van needs nearly nothing and I really lucked out. It has no rust anywere and its only on its second paint job. Other than new door seals and a non working speedo and heater, its only missing the emblems, bumpers (which Im not replacing), sun visors and one of the door key locks. Its sooo much fun to drive and I really like taking to to Bobs Big Boy on Friday nites. Im still very much deciding what to drive tomorrow since my hearses need to get out of the driveway occasionally too. A couple weeks ago I drove the van down to a friends place in Long Beach and his neighbors 65 Ford van (which he is sadly selling) was parked in the street with an empty space next to it, so I parked there. He saw my van and came out to chat. They looked so cute parked side by side.

Im hoping to get some good pics of the entire van taken this weekend just so that if I do any major work to it, I have the memories...

Hi ya Dee,and Welcome to the forum.Great bunch of folks in here.Clean lookin Dodge ya got bud.
I could'nt but help reading your list of 'toys' above.
I gotta ask...aren't all hearses 'endloaders'? No matter where your loaded,it is 'The End'. And are ya gonna make an end loader out of the Dodge? What a way to go! lol Enjoy.

Well to tell you the truth not all coaches are endloaders, our combo was built as a hearse/ambulance combo. So if you didnt make it to the hospital you were carried straight to the morgue, and then carried from church to the cemetery. All done by the same car!

I have already tooled with the idea of putting a pair of landau bars on the van, so I took them off one of my coaches and held them in place and I really did like it. So did everyone else. The interior will not accomidate a casket once finished. Picture trying to push a steel casket across shag carpet on top of plush padding... it aint gonna happen. So when I am able to come across the exact landau bars I want, Ill put them on, but being that the bars I want were only used by one coach builder for only '69 and '70, there isnt exactly a surplus of them lying around.

But could you imagine seeing an A body with landau bars on it leading a funeral procession? That would be classic!

My more immediate plans are getting to the Spring Fling out here in Los Angeles in April and making some new friends/cruise buddies. A girl cant have too many good friends.
