sun roof rubber???

man o man ,I cant stop the sun roof from leaking,drives me crazy but I love it and itn really helps cool the van in the summer too.
does any one have any tips or trix to keep the leaks under control or even better mabie a place to get some new rubber for it?
Everbody says weld it up but no way ,gotta have it!  

I'm not sure about this but I am thinking there should be something called ,The Sunroof Doctor out there , some stuff if it's new enough you can still get parts for. One I looked up ages ago was no longer made so I struck out.

Havent herd of the sunroof doctor ,but I will give it a try !

Weather strip catalogs will have cross section views of their bulk gaskets with dimensions.
Softseal,Restoration Specialists,Steele Rubber.They also have tech lines,sometimes more frustrating than ordering the catalog and looking it up yourself.

thanks guys ,I like steel rubber parts ,there usually at the street rod shows that I go to ,was surprised at how much rubber that they offer for my g-10 ,didn't exspect to see any offerd! all I need is ''money and time'' ,which isn hard to have both at the same time anymore?
this is my first sun ruff[always wanted one]and I really like it,.have seen universal rubber kits offerd,may try that sometime?

I put three sunroofs in three different vehicles,
all eventually leaked, this trick worked on all of them,
take a length of 12 or 14 gauge automotive primary wire,
lift the rubber gasket up wedge the wire under the rubber gasket
as deep as you can get it, it will force the rubber against the glass.
This has worked for on three different sunroofs. Hope this helps

heay that sounds like an idea,i;ll try it this week end if it don't snow bomb us again.
