Being the sites radiator guru tell me what you think of this radiator. According to donivan's measuring this is the same size as a 2nd gen radiator. The question is will this work being it's a racing radiator. I would think they need to run cooler and it would, but I have never heard of this double pass style???

I think "double pass" is because both hoses hook up to the same side of the radiator...So coolant flows through one core(from top hose) and then through the second core and out the bottom hose.

Yep that Radiator Just has a Baffle in one side of the Tank ...... I am sure it would work fine !!!!! Vw had Done this for a Long time ...... on there water cooled Engines ......... Like I have said I love all aluminum Radiators.... They will OUT COOL COPPER AND BRASS.. RADIATORS Hands Down.... There Light weight ....... and Look Good ....... But if it Leaks Your Done .......... and it doesn't Have to get Hit or Damaged .. for this to Happen... if you Get electrolysis..... it will Eat it up from the Inside Out .... and one more Thing I don't Like ..... Not all But Some of the Header Plates are Glued .... This is were the tubes meet the tanks .... and well ........ you get my Point........ I would say with either Rad it would be good to have a Back up..... and I have always Liked the Idea of external Coolers.... Trans and Oil ..... the problem with them inside the Radiator is when they Leak you get the Fluid swap thing Going on ... yes this Means water in your Trans ... and trans Fluid in your Radiator.... this goes for engine Oil as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to add to this post - The Homebuilt aircraft guys are using this type double pass radiator - with great success in the auto cooled / powered airplanes. What also helps them is they can also reduce the size of the total radiator area.matt
