    door mirrors Empty door mirrors

Post by rustytoolss Mon Feb 24, 2014 7:40 pm

was sitting in my pickup today and noticed that I can not get a good view through the passenger side door mirror. I adjusted it , but just seems that it does not have enough pivot range. I've got the standard small 3 screw mount mirrors. Not the larger frame mount type. Anyone else have issues with the standard mirrors? Its like the mount arm is too close to the body. I will note that I have not driven the pickup much yet also.

Visibility to the passenger side is limited. Easy for you with a pickup. Imagine a van without side windows  Shocked

Your mirrors have center mount to the leg? Try to bend the stud. Or bend the leg with heat. Or mill the flat 3-bolt attaching surface to another angle or shim it slightly.

Yeah, my mirrors have a center mount on the mirror head, with a stud through the arm, which mount to the body with 3 screws.
I was looking at dodge pickup mirrors say 72-79. They look almost like the A100s. But the base mounts to the body with 4 screws, and the arm angles farther out (away from the body) at less of a vertical angle.

Yes the 72-79 dodge pickup/van mirrors look almost like the A100 3 screw mount mirrors. But they do not stand as vertical, but angle somewhat out more & use a 4 screw mount. Google little red express truck that type.
