Something like this? I am assuming that the widths of the two images are similar.
PS. This might be the first Dodge I have ever worked on.

3/8 X 2" flat plate steel, leave it a little long, side the plate in where the bumber brackets came out of, C-clamp or vice grip them in place, Now the mustang bumperette has tabs on top and bottom .
Becarefull bend the top tab to sit on the steel plate and also make sure you are lined up to drill the holes thru the plate where the old bracket bolted up. Then you can see the the plate will need cut on a angle , the top longer than the bottom,Make that cut, and adjust the the bend on the bumperette so it sits at the correct angle of the body, Now you will see the top of the steel plate needs to be wider weld a 2nd piece of 1/2 " plate to the 1st one then weld the bumperette to the top only , Then reinstall and drill out the 1/2 x 2" plate to bolt up in the old holes , just like the old bumper brackets over size both holes so you have a little up and down adjustment, BUT make sure the bumperette is sitting where you want it, on the top of the bumperette there is a small rubber bumper on them adjust them to sit about 3/16 from the body, welding the top only lets you adjust the angle of the bumperette to match the body line, then bend the lower tab under the truck and bolt it to the opposite side,THIS WAY I'M ABLE TO REMOVE THEM AND REINSTALL THE BUMPER IN ABOUT 1 HOUR, The police in pa can be a real pain if they want to, Also the front will work the same way. And last but not least DODGE MAN makes some real nice one from alluminum when he not taking a nap, ALL IN ALL THESE ARE NOT HARD TO DO, JUST TAKE YOUR TIME,
