NORTHWEST VAN FEST and 4th of July weekend extravaganza
We just secured a 30 acre site of flat, grassy private property to have this eVANt at! Near Hoquiam, WA
Friday, 4th of July: Arrivals, set up camp, dinner, in the evening bonfire, and fireworks, and Party!!
The plan is on Friday, it will be travel day and we will hook up with all the clubs coming from various directions North, South, East.. and coordinate for all vanners to hook up with the caravan. We will have meet-up points along the way, so we can get all the vans together for a 'rolling rally' on the way out to the coast and out to Hoquiam. Make sure your CB radio is working, we'll be operating on Channel 2 (for 2%!)
Saturday, 5th, "Vanner's day at the beach!" we'll have a leisurely morning with coffee and breakfast, and then take all the vans on a day cruise to the Ocean Beaches! Hoquiam is very near the WA coast and beautiful ocean beaches that allow vehicles to be driven out on the hard packed sand. We can take all the vans to cruise down near Ocean Shores and Westport, park the caravan on the beach, and enjoy a relaxing and fun day at the beach. Bring your suntan lotion and also your surfboards! There is good surfing out there too, just need a wetsuit because the Ocean is a bit chilly.
We'll have a big potluck dinner, so bring your favorite dish, there will be a DJ spinning your favorite music, and Kareoke! Door prizes, party favors, and more!
Sunday will be a van show, complete with awards ceremony.
