Re: todays random image (part #4)
Saw this at Cars and Coffee today.
Owner is essentially the second owner. It belonged to his high school teacher who essentially gave it to his father. He eventually wrangled it from his dad. Said he rarely drives it because it's cramped (he is a tall guy) and the fiberglass door is starting to come apart.
For those unaware, it's a car based on plans sold by Popular Mechanics in 1974 using the VW Transporter platform. First one I've seen in person.

That's a "Samba Bus"... that is worth a lot of money just original ($150,000), just think what it is worth with that engine.

If it was original it'd be worth a lot but it's just a regular window van. He cut off the roof to mount the small windows... Still, sweet bus!

Re: todays random image (part #4)
The ever favorite tree thru the engine compartment picture! And it's one of the bigger trees I've seen growing in a car. This car is for sale on my local Craigslist. Bring cash and a chainsaw!
The same guy is selling a collection of older cars, including this little van. Corvair? This is a great time to go looking, since a lot of his collection is scattered thru a jungle of trees and brush in Northeastern Oklahoma...
