To accommodate the larger hunting party...?

That's photoshopped. Look at the lettering on the rear tires. It's identical, even down to the dirt on the sidewall.

Yep. you can see the trees are doubled up. The roof of the white car behind would be way too long. You can see a seam through the rocker where the photo was cut and paste. Absolutely photoshop.

Yah, might be a VW, but VW's are probably responsible for many vanners finding an appreciation for vans in general. At least that was the case for me. I remember gawking at them as a kid and thinking they were cool.

People wonder/get upset when someone asks if a 1st Gen Chevy is a VW (idiots!) but it's the closest thing to a VW looks wise in terms of the Earlies.

...All true, however these probably prompted the "Earliest" appreciation for our Vans.

Heres a real true story 4 all!= In Texas (im from) on Highway 90A west of Houston area - just west on a small town called =Schulenberg=there was a junk yard named "Jacks auto" .Jack was a weird one!=he would put like 5 cars out front to sell- 50/60's stuff-like what no one wanted! he wouldnt put another one till all 5 were gone!! He had collected all cars after WW2 that were anywhere near him for miles! I went over there a couple of times to get some things for my 2 1940 fords I had then!. His "LOT "are near the highway ( town passed by I-10) was totally full of 1940 model fords- any type u can imagine! He said that area was 40 acres in size! affraid My last trip was in like 1984 there -i was looking for a model A truck. I asked him what he had if any?? He asks me - what year? What color?? affraid I like to fell over! He told me he had 3 different barns in the area that were full of them. He said they all drove into the barns too!! He told me he owed some rent on the barns & when he paid that he would take me over to get 1. He'd call me - & he never did. The place i believe wes sold after his death & scrapped out too! Was a crying shame if done as he had around 300 acres of old cars there too. Sad Nothing later than into the 50's!! Thats my story & im sticking to it!! cheers
