cleaning chrome

Ok i've read a ton on cleaning chrome , But what do you use. I'm running cragar
ss wheels , and trying to keep them looking new, I clean them every winter and every time i wash it i blow them off with the air compresser to remove any water. and use never dull.

dix sounds like your doing more than most do, chrome is a pain and alot of work to keep looking nice

I guess what i'm looking for is a good chrome polish, kind of like waxing your car, when you use some junk you know it, same with something good, i've always tryed to stay with 3m they always made good products, And ya hate to buy something , use it once and throw it out or sit on a shelf for 10 years.

with chrome it's about cleaning and waxing often, even cheap wax is good for this

I myself have been using a Carnuba Wax from Meguiyers for 30 + years on my Cragars SS's! Works quite well!

Maintaining chrome is a mother so use Mother's:-)

I use my old standby chrome & alu. polish- semichrome  

+1 on Semichrome that stuff is the best. I have used that yellow and magenta tube for 30 years. It is amazing for polishing bare alum too, just hit it with some steel wool followed by polish job and it looks like chrome.

mothers is good to use on a buffing wheel

Simichrome is great. Never used it on wheels.

Another good thing on Chrome say if you need to remove hard water spots, overspray or slight pitting is 0000 steel wool. Works especially well on old chrome that needs revived. It also works well to clean glass too!
