Re: something different
Melt=NO!! That was done in the 70's on early show cars-plexiglas hoods. Got lots of attention back then.

Re: something different
i'm under the impression that hood was painted to look clear ?
i've seen the clear & smoked plexiglass used even as gullwing van doors but it didn't
have the strength to support it's self, and i'm not seeing any support in the photo. also i don't see a hood latch but has chrome hinges and springs ,The springs will rip the hood apart, also if it were plexiglass they should have used hood pins . and last the hood springs are in the up position not in the down position so i think it's a paint job. what does every one else think ?????????????????

Re: something different
Bet he doesn't have much trouble finding a parking space at the beach! Might be a problem driving in high winds though

Re: something different

This is a '66 Volvo I did a lot of body work on for a friend, he had it converted to an electric car.
I welded all the extra holes, heater core, vents, gas door etc. that aren't needed anymore, also frenched the headlights and added chevy tail and turn signals all LED and mounted from the inside, removed all chrome trim, letters and made a custom grille and more.
It came out really nice and is fun to drive, electric motor and original 4 speed trans.
Something different?
