Met up with Scott from Texas tonight while he was in town, Grabbed a bite and went to Gotavan Dans for a tour.

It was really cool to see Dan's stuff he's got tucked away behind his place, and to take a ride in Digz van too.

Well, I was at the local park munching on lunch when a guy pulls up beside me in the 108. Asks"69 108?" I say yes!
Turns out he's the owner of the only other A in town that I haven't bought! A 69 108 in Orange. I'll have to get and post a picture later. Anyway, we chat for a while and he gets my name and number so he can get a dash pad for his.

I met this 22 year old and his girlfriend while waiting in long traffic to get into our huge oyster roast. I actually snapped this photo of him in my rear view mirror. He was checking us out from a far and I gave him a thumbs up. He responded, walked over and told me had owned a 66 Chevy window van. It was rusted along the bottom and he purchased it for $400 from a guy's back yard. It didn't run when purchased. He doesn't have it any more but was very interested in getting another. I don't think he realized good ones existed.

I wrote down this site for him and got his card. Hoping he will get into it and find another Early. Also found out he powdercoats and he will be getting my business.

Don, the title says "I met another vanner." The guy is a vanner at heart and was a former Early van owner who is looking for another van. He is a new (to me) vanner that I met. We are planning on getting together. I discussed prices he should expect when searching for another van.

He went out of his way to cross traffic on a busy highway to talk to me about my van. He did not cross to speak with the Dodge Viper a few cars ahead of me. He was practically gushing.

He had an Early and wants another Early. His Early was the same make and generation and only two years newer. I was excited to meet someone that had an Early anything much less the same make and gen as mine. I am pretty positive I am the only 1st Gen owner in my city. Finding another was a good thing for me. If he ain't family when he sought out a rusted out 1st gen from a guy's backyard and got it running, I don't who is. Peace and Love...

I agree with y'all.Quite often I'll look at bottom of main page.There will be 15 members online, 35+ guests,and usually 1 member hidden(wonder whom?).So ya never know when/where ya might meet another vanner to join up on here.Even I was a guest once,met a lotta good folks here since then.

Drove up to Louisville Sunday.This would be Ditdater(Danny) and his '64.

He let me drive this lil power house.The lil motor ran pretty good,plenty of power to be out running around town.

Great to meet ya Danny,had a good time talkin vans with ya.Thanks again for the seats,I can put them to good use.

Did't care to be in the picture, but today I met Gary and his Chevy he bought brand new in 1968! Since then, he's got over 300,000 miles logged on his van.

I told him about the website and was thankful for a new potential place for parts. He said he used to get a lot of parts from someone on the east coast…

I was sittin in the house yesterday,heard a rumble outside.This was in front of the house.'69 Dodge A.Actually Robert is a neighbor I didn't know I had.He'd just finished his van.Tryin to recruit him to come aboard V-V.
