Figured I'd post a pic of my "new to me" 1964 panel van. It arrived to Mass. from North Carolina yesterday so spending today getting aquainted with it. It seems to be in really good shape for pushing nearly 50 years old. Its unmolested, still in stock shape which is exactly what I was looking for. It was owned by a School dept for its first 30 yrs which I guess could explain how it made it thru the van craze of the 70's unscathed and untouched. Its got 97k on the odometer which I was told is actual, never leaving the Charlotte NC area its whole life. Its got the factory automatic Powerglide, the optional 6cyl, 194 which runs well. Its got one small rust thru area under the drivers side floor but looks like an easy patch fix, otherwise solid and straight.

Re: New Guy,... "New" Van.....
Thanks guys.....my plans are run through the mechanicals and check everything thing out, new paint in the Spring but basicly to keep it mostly stock with maybe some new wheels, reupolster the stock seats but put in some kind of interior, I'm a pretty good woodworker so may get a little creative on the inside. Its a blank canvas so I'm still thinking of ideas. Kevindix wrote:nice buy what are your plans ????

Re: New Guy,... "New" Van.....
Thanks for the welcome guys, I guess I shouldn't be surprised but I see most of your ages seem to be late 40's thru the 50's.....I'm 55 myself and grew up during the van craze of the 70's, my best friend had a 67 Chevy Van, shag carpet, wood paneling, bed in the back, cragar mags, wild paint, etc. Good times and great memories in that van from those that I can remember ....I didn't have a Van back then so I guess I'll be making up for lost time now...
