While you're at it you might want to think about relays for the headlights instead of passing the current through the switch. Another nice one is a chime to remind you to turn them off when the ignition is off, I've drained my batt a couple of times from headlights.

There is supposed to be fuses? I thought the smoke signals were what Ford used to let you know of a problem. LOL
