It is a nice van, very very solid. Ken told me it took a few hour to get all the TX dirt out of it.

Congrats on the Van. I know it's brown but I really like the paint on it and the vintage advertising.

Re: Vannin Ken's 62 Econo TX panel
So, are Texas vans usually pretty rust free? Or does it depend on which part of Texas it's from??

Re: Vannin Ken's 62 Econo TX panel
Thanks Ken, something to keep in mind when searching...By the way, you've got some cool history with that van also. Neat that it was also a Fire Dept. van. You should take some before and after photos and send them to the Fire Dept once it's done. They'd probably get a kick out of it!

Re: Vannin Ken's 62 Econo TX panel
Ken, that is some way cool history on that van! You should write to the Ralls Fire Dept. in Texas and see if they might have some old pics of this van in it's hay-day on the Fire Dept. That would be cool to have to keep with your van!
Just thinking out loud.

Re: Vannin Ken's 62 Econo TX panel
Congrats on the van . I was looking at it when it was for sale on craigslist . I called and talk to the guy that had it . The only reason I didn't buy it I was working out of town and couldn't get time off to go get it . It sounded like a good deal . I like the way it looks . I was planning on just clear coating and leaving it just the way it was . Can't wait to see what you do to it .
