Is it possible for the under body panels to be galvinized. I an cleaning the underside of my van while I have the front axle out some areas I think are galvy. wheel wells behind front entry step ect. is this possible. the lack of rust is unreal the van is from ohio. there is some in the floor but very little on all factory seams am I just lucky and got a good one or is this normal. oh and another thing what are my options for bumpers I dont have any can I use a different vehicle bumper or will I be making something!!!!

when welding galvinize is not good to breath, But the floor steel that I replaced was galvinized.

well it seems to me my thoughts might be correct then this must be why this van is such good shape underneath. it was covered in mud for years I figured that would rot it away.

Most of the floor is but if it has moisture sitting , it will rust like inside floors. how does the frame look.??

The frame is solid to be honest almost perfect. Shackle bushings came right out by hand no rust. they sure dont build them like this any more metel so thin. It looks like it was painted once before underneath it is light blue paint this could be why it is so nice. I was going to use rust converter on the spots were the surface rust is and paint tring to stop the rust from coming back has anyone ever used it here does it really work?

The inner rockers are galvanized the entire length of the van including ahead of the front wheels. They are otherwise bare metal, I'm guessing when repairing outers this is one area where POR15 is needed? Will it even work over galvanized?
