    Hello to all members.

Joined the A-Van family couple years ago. I bought my A-108 full panel van (no doors or windows originally on cargo side panels at all on either side) from CA, USA and imported it to Finland where I live.

It's an original V8 manual trans van with 3,23:1 rear gears and original LSD.

Built it up completely with full black leather interior and seats for 8 people. Welded the rust (it was in CA for it's last 14 years and before that near Indianapolis) painted it with dark metallic Porsche green and bumpers, grille and wheels in Porsche cream white.

Yanked out the SB and the 3-speed and built a 400 Mopar bigblock with some go-fast goodies. Made exhaust and all relevant crap for EFI turbo intercooler setup and prepped an 833 4-speed manual transmission and modified the original steering column shifter to work with that. So now I have a van with Mopar BB Turbo Intercooler EFI with a four speed manual trans. A fun machine Very Happy

Got it finished a week ago and registered it.

Can't post pics yet as newbies need to wait a week before adding pics or links.

Thank you again, all of you are very kind. Ha ha, I dont know so much about kidding around like mentioned but since I have a rare van so I just wanted to do my best to build it the way I like it. It was a weird van when I got it. It didn't miss even one small detail meaning all the original parts were there and it had not been modified in any way. It only had had 2 owners in US and Im the third one now. But it had rust issues eventhough the odo showed only less than 54 tmls. In a way it was nice to build because the previous owners had cared for it and for instance cargo panels did not have even one extra "nipple" which would have been SO easy over the decades of use without any inner panels. Actually I left some things completely untouched because they were in such a great condition.

I will try to get good pics for you and start posting them here once I have the permission to do so.

Wow, now there's some Fantastic Pics! You've done some great clean work. I love the color choice as well. That BB looks right a home in the doghouse and it looks like you've done a great job with the cooling as well. Simple, clean and very powerful. That's a nice combination. Congratulations on a job WELL-DONE!!!

Thank you gentlemen. I wanted to make this van into a sleeper vehicle. Of course you can actually sleep in it no prob but I wanted to have the exterior looking like a stocker with my own twist, interior look like between a muscle car and stocker and engine to fully fit inside the doghouse with everything without cutting anything up. And have a lot of punch in the not-so-obvious form.

The entire idea behind this build was to build an easy-going cruise-machine for myself and my friends and me being a road racing fanatic then I of course needed a lot of useable power with a broad powerband. The idea behind turbocharging was to have a base engine with good amount of torque to begin with and have a lot of midrange and uprange power without the engine itself being a full-race naturally aspirated engine. I like them too but I wanted something else with this van. I've built turbo cars before but this was different as it is not any kind of a race machine.

Both of the exterior colors come from Porsche. I have wanted to do a dark green car for over a decade but never really found anything to match. With this van I knew immediately when I bought it in CA that now I've found the target for that green color.
