just got dumped on here in CO again (snow). some guys said posi is more squirrelly in snow and ice but that seems illogical. anybody know or have an opinion?

A posi rear is a double edged sword on snow and ice
It will help get you going but also make it more likely to slide sideways since both wheels will be spinning if it breaks loose instead of just one.
Personally I prefer to have a posi

I agree. IF you are pulling from a dead stop in a straight line, they are great. If you are used to it, you can drive through stuff that would stick a non-posi. If you (for example) drive too quickly into a curve and sharply let off the gas on a slick surface, the rear will come around on you quickly, and a van with it's high center of gravity and light rear end weight probably will not be able to be reeled in.
