Synchromesh Gear Oil Empty Synchromesh Gear Oil

    Post by busman78 Sun Mar 31, 2013 7:14 am

Okay I have a 67 A108, 225 Slant Six A745 3 Speed, all of 56,639 original miles, suspect when I dumped the trans oil yesterday it was the original red colored auto trans fluid, thankfully still red and no chunks of metal particles in the bottom of the drain pan. The manual calls for automatic transmission fluid or 85 gear oil,

Has anybody out there tried the Pennzoil Synchromesh gear oil?

The A745 is a 3 speed manual trans, a little beefier than the 903, seriously the original Dodge repair manual calls for auto trans fluid for the manual transmissions and 85/90 gear oil in warmer climates. So happened I ran across the Synchromesh manual trans fluid while at the auto parts shop. Specifically designed for synchromesh transmissions and safe for yellow parts (brass).
