You say your Vin is G1265,,,,,,,that means you have a genuine 1965 Chevy SportVan,,,,,,,,,what does it say about the trim on the plate under the lower drivers door hinge?

Johnny wants to find out what he got,,,,,I would think that with that side step, that might make it a Custom or Deluxe,,,,,,here is his data plate,,,,,paint is 510AA Trim is 601AA,,,,,,,now my question is,,,,,whatis on you SportsFans data plate,,,,,is there any thing that might show that your van is the SportVan, Custom or Deluxe?
and do all the 1st Gens only say they came with the 194 or a 230 cu in 6 cylinder?

The SportVans seem to be taking over,,,,,,they are everywhere,,,,,so lets see what information we can find out about them,,,,,like what is the difference between a SportVan, a SportVan Custom and a SportVan Deluxe.....I'm kind of thinking that the step only came with a Custom or Deluxe and the Chrome strips and fancy horn ring are a Deluxe only thing,,,,,but people need to post what equipment their SportVans have on them,,,,,or maybe you could order any accessory that you wanted,,,,,

I have the Sportvan Deluxe and it has everything Savage mentions, with the addition of chrome bumpers, windshield washer (non-functioning, but fluid bag still under dash and amazingly does not leak), interior battery box behind pass seat. Has mounting slots for two rows of back seats, but they are long gone.

Yes, I have the chrome trim along the side. My wiper washer button is on the list of things to do, it doesn't work. The motors are OK I tested them with a jump wire, but I suspect the washer pump is toast. I need to source a new button/switch.
