What has been used as a rebuild for the side and back door hinges on our beloved vans? I have a couple hinges that need attention before I paint this thing. Any help will be greatly appreciated as always!

Wow! You, Mr dix, are amazingly resourceful.

Don't know if this will help anyone but, way back my buddy worked at a dealership in the bodyshop. He told me that the way they tightened up the hinges (provided the pins are ok) was that they had some kind of porta-power unit they clamped on to the hinge and it would squeeze the parts together. I've thought about removing my hinges and putting them on the H-press, but it's still just a thought...

I am needing the pin and bushing kit actually. The bottom hinge on my front side door is worn pretty good. I will probably tear one apart, and get measurements for what I need. I really miss my Dad's job now that he retired. He was my machinist for anything I needed like this.
