Re: the history of vanin
I was a member of Midwest vans of Chicago, (Oak Lawn chapter) and attended the third national truck-in in Boling green Ky. Four days of crazy fun. On Sunday, the cops moved in and started busting people for skinny dipping. Thanks for the flash-back. Great memories. Dan

Hey....You were the guys that had the 4' letters that read
OAK F*&KING LAWN CHAPTER!!!!! Weren't you???? I saw that Sign! Fred asked you guys to take it down, you guys refused and months later, when the article appeared in the mags, Fred said...I quote, " 98% of the people that show up to have fun, there is that 2% that cause trouble"!!!! LOL Thus the 2% movement was started!!!!! You guys made HISTORY!!!!!!! And I was there to prove it!!!!! LOL

Re: the history of vanin
Yes that is right. I don;t remember anyone asking us to take down the sighn, but there is a lot i don't remember about that weekend. I do remember that there were 4544 vans there. Two or three guys spent the whole time, sitting in front by the road chanting " razle dazle, shnitzle fritz, lets see some fr%$#ing tits". By Sunday, they could hardly speak. And yes, we did see a lot of tits. I just told my wife about that weekend and she just looked at me like I had 10 heads. Wooohooo!!!!
