MY 54 Thames Van ....

Just joined this great site, you may like mine for old British Light Commercials. See my profile for my website ...

This is my Thames E494C Van from 1954, the last year they made them, it still has the original 8hp engine ... because of the colour she's called Custard Tart

Loved the =Thames vans -I had a 1948 model with turn signals that were actual lited arms that came out of the body aft of each door!! heck ov a van when i got it all Chev powered!!

No Morris Minor Vans are far too common, it is said less than 15 of these little gems survive and less than 10 are on the road, anymore guesses .

Hi folks ... it's a 1960 Standard 6cwt Van ( most call them a Standard 10 Van after the Standard 10 car, it's shares the front end but it's proper name is a 6cwt van ), it is part of the Standard / Triumph group although the Standard name wasn't used in the US, because Standard means 'basic'



Below is where is was in storage at a Garage dealers, it also spent a long time in a Museum and even 6 years up on a 4 post lift, so apart from the very first owner who had a corner shop, I am the 2nd owner who is actually driving it again.
