    Bumpers ??? Empty Bumpers ???

Post by gkpost Fri Dec 21, 2012 10:59 am

I've been lucky to have some time and money to put into the van, so the question is what other vans or trucks did they put these bumpers on ?
I have a second gen. Thanks for any help. ~ Gary.

The front has a push bar welded on, I guess I could try to fix it but I was hoping to replace it.

The second gen bumpers fit fine on the first gens. Will need to drill (to mount) and fill (for cosmetics) a couple of holes. However, they are much heavier duty than the first gen and more resistant to pukes parking by ear. And, for me, the occasional backing into the telephone pole near my driveway. Also, if your rear mounts are bent you might have to lower the rear bumper to clear the doors. Mine did fine with a light adjustment from a 3lb hand sledge.

    Happy hollerdays, Mark

Are the 1st gen bumpers the same size and shape front and rear or are they different?

They are the same size and shape but the holes are different, six in front bumper and 4 in rear.( plus 2 each on underside)
