on my 68 the heater hoses drop down through the floor under the heater core, there just dangling there on there way back to the engine, isnt there supose to be a bracket holding them up? does anyone have a picture of there heater hoses i can see how there roughted? thanks john

Page 1-2 and 1-3 of the service manual shows routing.
There are no brackets or clamps between where they come through the floor and the bulkhead at the front doghouse.

thanks rod, i ordered a manual off of ebay. i should have it in a couple days, i have to do something with the hoses there pulling on the heater core that could be bad,

The grommets in the floor hold the hoses up.
Probably time to get new grommets. I'd take carefull measurements and check the hardware store.
For a temp fix, you can prop up the hoses so the weight isn't hanging, and wrap electrical tape around the hoses so it forms a bulge that catches the top of the grommet.

i'll check out the grommets, i'm heading to the garage to install my steering wheel, i'll take some pictures, thanks rod for your help.
