    VIN Decoder Empty VIN Decoder

    Post by rustybug13 Sat Aug 04, 2012 5:26 pm

Found through another site a VIN Decoder for Econolines. It's econolineid.com. You click on enter your information, and a page that looks like your door ID tag should pop up. Enter all the data and follow the prmopts. You should get a run down of what's on the tag. They also have a list of numbers already entered. It's kinda net to see all the different ones on there.

I don't know if the moderators want to pin this to the top or however you do it. It seems to be a common question.

    Hi,

I went through the data base you posted and found about five of my vin numbers in it. It must have ties to the Yahoo groups as that's the only place I've ever posted my vin numbers. Probably Old Econolines as Econosrus has all my vin numbers in their list. OE doesn't as I've only been on it periodically. Two of the trucks in this base I've sold to people in Arkansas so they may have posted the numbers here. Cool site. Thanks for posting.

I'm the guy behind the EconolineID.com website.

Thanks to all the experts on the various Econo sites who have been helping me get all of the information straight. The Ford books have lots of errors.

I gathered the Econo dataplate data from this site, several Yahoo sites, eBay, and anywhere else folks posted their data.

I've still got a few pages left to code and lots of ideas, but the main site is up and running. There are over 1,000 Econolines in the site now. Feel free to add yours if it is not already there.

I recently caught someone sneaking in a second gen Econo. Sorry guys, this site is only for 1961 to 1967 Econolines.

I've tried to make it friendly to all kinds of computing devices. It should work on an iPhone, etc. in the salvage yard or while out looking at buying your next Econoline.

If you have any suggestions for improving the site, please let me know. I did it for us.
