Re: Mirrors for 67 econoline
johnny, what type of mirror did you have? Small mirror or west coast style mirror? OEM might cost you a couple hundred for the pair (used).

Re: Mirrors for 67 econoline
id raise hell with the owner of the body shop, he lost them he can pay to replace them, or at least deduct it from the bill. thats why i try to do everything myself, why pay someone to screw up or loose something when i can do that myself!

Re: Mirrors for 67 econoline
Please explain what the difference is in "West Coast" or whatever the others are called?
The parts van I'm picking up tomorrow (woo hoo!) has the kind that have top and bottom brackets that the long rectangular mirror attaches to. They're not my first choice - I like the stock retangular mirrors that attach with one stem just below the vent window. I'd REALLY like to find a set of those!

The big ones are west coast style mirrors.

econo mirrors
Thanks for the info on mirrors, I can't say anything to the body shop cuz they lost alota money on my van. they ended up w/ over
300 hours into it and only charged me for half that. it had the non-west coast style mirrors originally. these seem to be very hard to locate
items. A guy in So. Cal has new west coast mirrors in box he wants 400 (waiting for a return e-mail) I found alot of stuff @
Macs antique auto parts.
Thanks again

400.00 will buy you a set of original small base mirrors on ebay, it might take a couple months to gather them, but they do come up NOS often enough.

Re: Mirrors for 67 econoline
While we're talking mirrors, does anybody know the story behind what GM did to the vans like my 65? I've seen a bunch of them with the mirrors mounted like mine and the extra holes for the 3 bolt mount right below plugged with the screws.

Re: Mirrors for 67 econoline
Fred, I love that van, one of my favorite Econo's!
BTW: Can you make a front seat upholstery set in the original 67 tan?
