while running my weekly errands in my '66 falcon deluxe club wagon, i was putting some gas in her at the local 7-11. this older gentleman walks up to me and starts telling me about driving a brand new '66 for the company he worked for back in the 60's. said they hauled monkeys in it! then went on to say that the van went to Dulles(airport) every night! so now i'm wondering if he wasn't really talking about politicians? here comes the bad news, he assured me, "you can't get any parts for them from anywhere, anymore!" period! so you guys might as well give up:), there are no parts available! i'll Shocked bet tim in ky is really going to be supprised to hear this!
i tried to tell him about the internet, but he just shook his head and walked off!

When I'm able to find a set of quality new vent window rubbers (Come on Restoration Speciaties) and a complete set of door locks and ignition switch all keyed the same (The correct early Dodge ones can't be rekeyed), I'll agree with you. Wink
Other than that and a couple other minor things, I've been able to locate just about everything one way or another. cheers

I got told the other day that early econolines have a split windshield. Regardless of what I said, he was sure of himself and I, the actual econoline owner, was wrong.

oh well, some people like our current president too.

Some people still call my Econoline Pickup a Volkswagon.
I can still remember the days when I was 17 and driving my
64 econoline in 1970. They all called it a truck. I had to educate everyone with the word VAN. They have since come around.. Very Happy

Well Bill. I personally agree with the old man...

So you should sell me your 66 Falcon while there's still time!!! Hahahaha!!! I think most of us at one time or another have had a similar experience.

And Casimier. I get the "Volkswagon" thing a lot too.
