since i/ve decided to stay stock w/what i/ve got , was considering going orig. 13 wheels and nice hub caps ( maybe wires ) . but w/ 15 in rallys on now , i/m wondering if anyone remembers riding in one w/ 13's . like would it be such a noticeable harder ride , or maybe just overthinking the possible problem of the switch ? i do like possiblity of being lower w/out bags or cutting springs . one would anyone have a set ? i know there is a set on ebay that says for chevy 2 , i guess thats same boly pattern>?

Re: 1st gen `13 in. stock wheels
I am not positively sure but I think that the 1st gens came out with 14 inch stock wheels.

Re: 1st gen `13 in. stock wheels
I have 2 1965 Chevy vans & they both came out with 14 inch from the factory. They both also came with 230 6 cyls so with your van having a 4 cyl I guess there's a possibility that it came with 13 inch wheels.

Re: 1st gen `13 in. stock wheels
The 65 I had in HS originally had the 4 banger and 13" wheels on it , my uncle had it all swapped out before I got ahold of it. but I had the 13" wheels around for years but they ended up being used on various things. The bolt pattern will be the same as the Chevy II.

yep , yep, yep
i figured the wheels out ,they are 4 3/4 bolt pattern . and found a blasted and redone set (plus spare) ,and there on the way . also found a nice looking set of eagle gt /ta type tire under 300 for the set (when rims arrive hopefully be ready to slap on). next is a nice set of h/caps , and if lucky a set of the mag looking ones like came on 65 chevelle ss, they also made them for 13inch . i think it will give the old school stance, and overall different look , than the norm .
there is a set of 3 on ebay at a price too high for me , but if anyone knows of the 13" "mag" hub caps i/m speaking of available ,i would be very interested . danny 502 432 3684
also still looking to sell the 1963 impala ss 230, that it came out of, in good running shape ,that i was looking to swap ,(but decided to keep original 4 cyl.) after i bought, while not needing it but while on engine it my mech. friend installed new water pump , and rear main ,and front oil seals , and oil pump . best offer , to get it out of his shop . most likely will sell less than invested. call anytime

somebody just thru a bug in my ear
SOMEONE ASKED if i were going to put on orig size 13"s w/out inner tubes ,saying it sounds risky . as i looked in 65 manual supplement , showing 13 in wheels ,w/ optional 14"S. it didnt say anything about tubes. any input about no tubes ?
