    hoe do you shave the front door hinges on a 1963 econoline van? And what hinges would I use to replace the stock hinges? I am not looking to gullwing the doors.

    Here is Coop's blob where he is shaving the front door hinges off of a Dodge.
    It will give you a very good idea of what is involved.

    I've seen folks hinge the door form the other side (suicide doors) since there is more metal to connect them to than the front corner of the van.

    Yeah I love the look of "Shaved" hinges. To me it always seemed like lazy engineering to have them exposed, not only on our vans, but on several other vehicles.

    Those are cool pictures of the work being done. It looks like the Van has been shortened? only 1 side door.

    coops van was shortened it started as a 108 . if you look the side door was stretched about 8 inches all of coops work is exceptional
