Ya know, i was just looking around the web tonight for the same thing. No luck though. Hard to believe these handles weren't used on other GM trucks etc. Mine are pitted something fierce too.

They are not available new. Your best bet will be to get them re chromed. Most places that re chrome's charge around $60 & up depending on how bad the pitting is.

Well, i've figured out that the handles that were on the Corvans are exactly the same handle as the 64-66s. My local junk yard had way more Corvans than G10s. I grabbed 2 nice ones for my van an another that was decent. I'll keep my eyes peeled next time i'm there for more decent handles. The extra one is pictured in my "Junk Yard" thread in general.

Well I switched cylinders and they appeared to be exactly the same. Now installed they work flawlessly.

I think mthe corvan used a slightly shorter pin on the back of the cylinder. If you look on Clarks corvair web site they sell the push button lock cylinders item c3588 on this page
    http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/catalog.cgi?function=goto&catalog=MAIN§ion=MAIN&page=229

and say to shorten the shaft as required. Those would work in the first get handle as they come. Clarks Corvair also has the correct door handle gaskets.

so you switched out the key stuff from your handle and the Corvair Van handles worked? And those Corvair handles are a bargain,,,,,especially if you can replace those nasty 2nd Gen ones that bite you everytime you press the button,,,,,

Yeah, i just took out that snap ring, pulled out the spring cap, spring, and slid out the cylinder body. Swapped them into the corvair handle, sprayed a little teflon lube, reassembled, and put them on my van. They work fine, lock fine. Its a pretty simple lock mechanism. There were probably 8-9 corvair vans compared to 1 first gen and 2-3 second gen vans at the junk yard. For whatever reason, the corvairs had pretty decent handles. Not perfect but way nicer than my pitted handles.

But until we see one of those on a Chevy or GMC van, we don't know what the fit, operation or quality is of those new Corvair Van handles,,,,,looks like the old Corvair Van ones are the best thing out there for the 1st and 2nd Gens,,,,,

I was wondering about what I was going to use to replace all those dried up rubber gaskets. Plus the small ring gasket around the cylinder bodies. Everything just kinda crumbled off. Looks like i'll be placing an order to Clarks at least for gaskets.

I think you need to get one of those handles to see how they work,,,,it's the least you can do for getting away with robbery on all the parts you got,,,,,,

Actually i dont know if C3588 is a handle or just the push button cylinder? Its weight is listed as 6 ounces but up above it lists a pair of outside car door handles weighing 4 lbs ( or 2lbs a piece). 6 oz is kinda on the light side dont you think?

And i wonder if C7818 is the same rear Chevrolet emblem? Looks the same. Hmm guess it doesnt matter, there is no availability for it.

Thats the side/rear door gasket. Got the big and small for the front door handles? And what would you use as gasket material? The old stuff reminded me of dryed bicycle inner tube.

Boy, that Clarks Corvair Parts has a bunch of stuff that comes up when you type "van" in the search. I'd bet theres more that crosses over to G10s.

I don't read the clarks catalog to say the handles are $29.

I understud it to say the "lock cylinders" are $29 and that they don't have the van handles.
    But I might be wrong.
