Need some help with my 6.2 diesel....I am still in the learning stage of diesel ownership and just started troublshooting and learning all I can today..
heres the problem it is a 1987 chevy 6.2 for the last week or so it was running a little rough and felt a little down on power.Yesterday it stalled it started back up I drove home..One hour later got back in truck started up went about 20 feet it stalled and now is dead..The truck does crank(but does sound different) and the glow plug light does come on...
Truck has run like a champ up to this..
Just had oil change in Jan.as well as the Harmonic balancer being replaced...

    Any suggestions ...

You can try and spray WD40 down the down the air horn to prime the engine to see if that causes the engine to start which would mean you have a fuel delivery problem,,,,,,

Also,,,,,,take a test light and hook it to the POSITIVE side of the battery,,,,,unplug each glow plug and see if the test light glows when you touch each glow plug terminal,,,,if the test light ain't glowin,,,,the glow plug ain't glowin and you aint goin,,,,,,
