took a quick trip to see the family for my 50th - they live in grand rapids michigan area - went to the store to pick up a gallon of milk for my dad - was very surprised to see a gallon of milk for $2.50 - !! - here in new orleans a 1/2 gallon is more than that - and a gallon is right around $5 !! - and gas was less in michigan by a good 25 cents - so how can milk be twice as much here ? - and here where we have oil coming in from the gulf and imported, with refineries all around and we pay more for gas !? - sorry to those in cali - i know gas is even way more out there - just my wtf for the day - oo3

Re: ot milk and gas
gas has jumped 35 cents in less than a week. it makes driving places a lot less fun when you get about 15 miles a gallon.

Re: ot milk and gas
supply and demand is only half the story, look at how much tax each state charges.

Re: ot milk and gas
Our gas prices just jumped 6 to 8 cents a liter up here is as well in saskatchewan. Not sure what that translates into price per gallon, but it still blows just the same.
