I just bought an A100 pickup and would like some advise on what tire wheel combo is best for my truck. It has some turbine or finned wheels on it now but I dont like them. I am thinking about Cragar SS or Torq Thrust wheels for it. ANY advise would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the site!
Take a look around and see what size and style you like on other vans.
Since it's such a matter of taste, we can't tell you this exact size or that exact combo.

welcome aboard olz442. You have come to the right place. The Dodge boys can answer most and all your questions you may have. As stated earlier looks is a matter of taste and vice versy. As for size, those that know will chime in I am sure. You don't happen to have some pics of your truck, we would love to see it.

Well as you can see I am new here. I am really looking to find out what size tire/wheel combo fits best. What offset you can get by with and such. I like wide tires but from what I have seen you are limited on width. Also the ones that I have seen and liked do not have any info on the wheel/tire size. Thanks for the welcome and info!

If you have wheels and tire on your ride right now, you can measure what they are and how much room you have.
Taller usualy isn't the problem, but it's rare to see a tall narrow tire on these. Most people want to 'fill out' the wheelwell. Problem is, when they built these, they weren't held to tight tolerances so what fits one often rubs on another. If you measure yours, you may see a half inch difference side-to-side on some areas. Add 40 years of wear, parts swapping, bangs, and mods and you can see why I can't tell you that a Cragar S/S 15X7 std. offset (not reverse offset) with a 205 70R15 will fit on your PU. It probably will, but it may not and it may be a bit smaller than you really wanted. There are different issues front and rear too. Also, what mods are you willing to do to fit them? What other mods are you planning? Do you want same size front and rear so you can rotate? All of this can affect what you end up with.
The fronts on this one are the sizes I mentioned. They probably will fit front and rear. The rears are 15 X10 with 275 60R15. They WILL NOT fit without mods.
More pictures are in my thread in the showcase. You can look at the other threads for more pics of As.

Thanks for the links. I guess I should have mentioned that I would like to run the same size on front and rear. I know that will limit the size. Is the A100 truck and van the same as for as clearances? As far as I know my 1964 truck is 100% stock. I am waiting on the truck to get here from Kansas and want to change the wheels as soon as it comes off the truck!
Thanks for all the info!

Re: 1964 A100 Truck Tire and Wheel Size
Hi olz442. being the holiday week a lot of us are on the run. welcome to the site. on my a100 I am running 7inch x 15 inch cragars with a p225,70r15 inch all the way around. I also run factory rims and hub caps p205.70 r14 inch the 225's fit well but the more rubber you put on the road the harder it get's trying to turn when you are stopped. unless you have power steering. I do not. If you have a lady who may drive your van then the tire maybe a little much for her. i donot think you want any thing bigger than a 225.70 R 15 in the front. you also have to look down the road as to what you are looking to do.. Myself i am trying to lower my van a few inches due to a garage height clearance issue.during a turn i have about 1/2 inch clearance to the front wheel well. .also running a sway bar and new shocks..as you can see it's hard to just give a fit's all type answer...

Re: 1964 A100 Truck Tire and Wheel Size
My van came to me with 14" slotted mags on it, I'm running Cooper 225/70/14 tires on it since I didn't want to buy new rims. 14" truck tires are getting hard to come by, I would recommend a 15" rim at least so you have a better selection. The 225/70/14 is about as big as you can go on a 14" unless you want to start buying Mickey Thompson Indy Profiles at about $150 each.
Also, where are you in GA? I'm in North Central.
