i bougt a rocester mono jet carb off e-bay, rebuilt. its missing idle soloniod. its a rocester 17058026, i barrel elec. choke, does anybody have a parts carb kickin around? thanks

smog carb? any other differences? i removed the selonoid and used a bolt as you described, i have 3 to put on an offy intake and assumed it was the same carb other than selonoid. i think i saved the selonoid if you want it.

They put those solenoids on the carbs to make the engine run better because the smog equipment ADDED to an engine created driveabilty problems,,,,you probability don't have any smog equipment to worry about, so the bolt will work,,,,,that carb probably has a leaner jetting in it but it depends on how you use it,,,,,are you only using 1 of them for the idle RPM and the other 2 to dump gas in to go fast? I don't need that solenoid,,,,

yes don, 1 carb until half throttle, then other 2 kick in. right know, they sit in my garage along with all my other dreams and unfinished projects. the selonoid was offerred to back2thewoods but anyone needing it can have it.
