1st Gen Chevy or A100 Panel Van Empty 1st Gen Chevy or A100 Panel Van

Wanted: Very nice 1st Gen Chevy panel van. I would possibly consider an A100 panel as well if conditions are right.

I've been looking since February and truly only found one one van and it wasn't close to home. Rust or nearly rust free a must. Auto a huge plus and upgraded with overdrive even more so, but it's not essential.

Not so concerned about paint if the price reflects as much. I'm not looking to pay extra for a custom paint job that isn't to my taste but will pay appropriately for one that I can readily use. Interior is not a vital concern.

Only posting in case someone is looking to sell and wants to keep it "in the family." Been hunting a while and more than ready to find something nice and not a project that " needs to get out of my yard or it's going to the scrapyard if it doesn't get sold by Saturday.... "

Not so. At least branching out into A100 since I've always liked them as an option since 1st Gen Chevy's are the hardest to find. Prices also seem considerabl lower and easier to find a "steal." Narrowing to a panel even tighter. In reality, I'm really still hunting for the Chevy. I just know the caliber of what I'd like to acheive, and I can't touch it at the price the missed one would have run.

The A100 nearby was a 68 auto with power steering, so some other pluses. I would have a drop dead gorgeous red Chevy sitting in my drive right now if not for a wife hung up on one having an auto tranny that wouldn't give me a definite "yes."

I'm like Roman; skeptical that I will find one as nice at that price. The paint work and chrome on the one I missed alone were worth the entire asking price. He had $4,000 in RED paint, more expensive than others, and that was a good bit over ten years ago. Paint alone was $2,000 without labor. Probably a lot more in today's money when all done. The purple one that sold a few months back on Ebay was too high in price for me to pay to change the paint. Purple doesn't do it for me...

Just trying to rally. That missed opportunity took a lot out of me as I had my heart set on it.

1st Gen Chevy or A100 Panel Van Empty 66 GMC Handi-van

I just brought a 66 no window handi-van home that I traded into. It's the 1st van I've ever had and I'm trying to find out the value of it. It's absolutely rust free and has a three on the tree with a 327 inch V8. It's really cool and has been sitting in a barn for a long time. The engine turns over and has been rebuilt by the previous owner and was parked with only 4k on the rebuild. It was owned by a priest who used it for traveling around and had custom cabinet work done including a built in ice box installed in the back. The odometer shows 62k and I'm prety sure it's actual. I'll postsome pix when I wash off the dust.
