I would consider a west coast van if I were you. They usually don't have much rust to deal with.Try ebay

Re: panel van in MN
I agree, or one from the desert southwest (az or tx) the main issue for MN is ability to get. I don't have a tow vehicle or a garage to store things in. there was a nice $600 running one (you posted as a craigs list find) but the guy had no title and was a bit 'odd' when I visited him. I'll keep an eye out all over. thanks for posting the vans for sale. My son really wants a short panel (scooby van) I prefer the ford for easy of operation.
thanks again.

Re: panel van in MN
Welcome Terry,
Try searching here. It's a multi-list search and will pick up Craigslist, Kiwi and eBay.

Re: panel van in MN
There is an 8 door listed here for a really good price and 8 doors are pretty rare compared to the standard 6 door.

That one you are talking about Mike... looks like one of the best bang-for-your-buck deals I've seen in a long time! Great van!

Re: panel van in MN
So are you just looking for something you can totally restore? I ask because you won't get much of a van for $1000.00 unless you get very lucky.

Re: panel van in MN
Look at it this way. If you buy a van in MN or anywhere with horrible winter weather you will have rust issues that will cost you some $$$ to make right. Buy in Cali, AZ, NM even TX and you wont have much or any rust to deal with at all. The money that you save from not buying local/ not having to repair rust will help cover the shipping cost.
