So I went to see the vans yesterday All the inside lower door seams blown out. Body was in rough shape. Were this guy was coming up with 6000 for both was beyond me. I was thinking 1000 Like you guys said if there is rust, there is more than the eye can see I listened thank you. They sher were cool as hell though. The guy didnt even take the time to make sure they ran before I came out. So my guestion for today is how much rust would a true california van have? Would the doors be good at the seams after 50 years I dont really know. I was thinking they would have to be better than what I saw. Ny weather takes its toll again.

It seems to me that as these old vans are making a come back, some people think that charging $100.00 a lug nut is a fare price, regardless of looks, drivetrain and so on. I guess it boils down to "is it the last of it's kind", and "how bad do you need the parts". Hell if this was the case I have $5,900.00 worth of vans out here.....and you could also say I am definitely short a lug nut....in more ways then one..lmao.

A van from out west should be have very little rust. Everywhere you'll find a little. The problem is some of these vans in the east that are from out west are from out west 25 yrs ago and now shouldn't still be called from out west

Got to watch out for West Coast "Beach Vans"; they rust from the inside out.

Rust is like an iceberg....only 10% is ever visible.
