Any ideas where I can get any type of replacement channel the goes in between the panels?

Are you talking about the curved chrome spars that go across the ceiling to help hold up the headliner? I've wondered about this too. We'll never find any originals. So few even came with headliners in the back. But I figure interior shops must have something generic they use for this. There was nothing fancy about the originals in our vans.
This photo is from that Hemmings article. It says they fabricated the bows out of stainless steel. How exactly did they do that?! Out of flat stock? I'm hoping you can by lengths of it that are already U shaped and we just give it the gradual curves in the other axis.
