    Woowoo!!!

4 Link from So-cal showed up yesterday. Very exciting! Now to either source out a 10" C-notch kit or decide if I'm going to fabricate one!!

Excellent... Like to see how this works out. Did you contemplate using a four-link on the front too? I've wondered about that configuration.

I am going to wait until I have the van in my garage to make that decision. I want to see exactly how the front end ties together. I am contemplating a complete IFS, or a 4" drop beam with some hybrid hairpin configuration like the old school hot rodders use. Either way, air bags will assist.

Army of Six; I paid $550.00 from the So-Cal shop west of Edmontoon.

Mothradeath; I really like your frame fabbing there, it looks well thought out! I have been debating fabricating a frame and body dropping it. Do you think the way you went is easier than cutting the floor and re-welding it?

thanks. i dont know if it is easier but it sure seems like you would have to do this in order to get it sitting on the ground. plus im pretty scared of the thought of adding airride and tieing new metal into 50 year old very thin metal. im wondering about that 4-link kit. it appears to be modified and the mounts shaped to go into something already....is that a kit pre-made for another vehicle already? are you sure you wont have to alter it?

They "say" it's a universal fit, just like "one size fits all....". The long bars are rounded for the bottom of the axle and the other end welds flat to the face of the frame. The short ones are rounded to fit the top side of the axle, and they are angular towards the frame, which is why the one end looks so cut up. I agree with your rationale of thin, 50 year old metal.
