happenings in texas next month?

only 2,5 weeks left of work and then it's time for a 2 months long trip to the usa!
were staying at my wifes relatives in friendswood, texas so the question is, is there any vintage vans/pickup meets or some other old car happenings?

Since ur coming from finland- your going to need an Iceberg, a case of mosquito spray & the Biggest Fly swatter you can find!! Temps have been over 100-114 & the humidity there will be at least 80=% -
Mosquitoes in that area are about the size of a Van Spare Tire. Bast time to visit is in march!

mosquitos are no problem whe have a hell of a lot of em here in finland.
but the heat is going to be somethign to get used to,last time it was 104F all the time, we only get to 85-95 here, and -13F in the winter....

im looking for a quality disc brake conversion to the pickup and was planning to buy aluminium cylinder heads also to gain a bit more power.
has anyone bought the scarebird kit, as i understood it didn't really fit too well.
