hey guys, just another bizzare thought.. They get stranger as I get older..lol.. I need a tow vehicle for my car trailer.. I am using a 91 Ford, 3/4 ton, van, right now. yuck, I know..... so I am looking for a step van, but then thought if I had a frame under one of these, dual wheel rear, lowered to the ground.. maybe.??? before ya'll say NO, the one ton dual wheels would be totally inside the van, big tubs maybe.......I dunno, just thinking.. I really like the early vans, but it must be a multi-purpose van too.....thanks, RR aka, Lloyd Shocked

Anything is possible, just depends on your tallent, or the depth of your wallet.

    Rebel,
It has been done a few times. But every time it was a 4x4 conversion and having extra height was a good thing. The best one I saw was where the vans uni-body frame box fit just inside the doner trucks frame and a lot of creative engineering! If you have the mechanical experience creativity and a shop with all the tools, machinery and a ton of patience......

and of course what you said!!!
