    1965 Supervan, I think? Empty 1965 Supervan, I think?

I just purchased this van to make a shop van for my restoration company, tiltle and vin. tag say 1965. A guy that i got some parts from seemed to know alittle about these vans said i had a strange one. It has a floor heater which he said was an eairly model and rectangle tail lights which were late model. Not that it maters, i still like it but just curious. Also where can a guy get a master cyl. and wheel cyl. re-build kits?

You do have a Super Van and winter of 1965 was when they were introduced. I thought that the heater had been moved under the dash and off the floor in 1965 but maybe that was a running change Ford made during the latter part of 1965. I am restoring a 1963 pickup to use in my construction business also. It draws attention.

The reason you have rectangular tail lights is because the body tapers to a narrower width when it is a Supervan and there is not enough room between the door and the corner of the cab body to use the round tail light. The rectangular tail light is the same as the F-100 Ford pickup.

Master cylinder can be purchased at Advance Auto Parts. Same with wheel cylinders and wheel cylinder kits. Suggest just buying new wheel cylinders as the old ones are probably not rebuildable if the van sat for any length of time.

The floor heater was probably added to a factory heater delete van or it replaced a worn out under dash model. It was only used on 61-64 models. In the pic you posted I see a wire harness plate under the passenger side vent. Behind that palte should be 2 holes in the floor up against the nose panel where the heater hoses would run. Also a little raised floor area so the hoses could have grommets installed, otherwise the hoses would pass thru the floor right where it bends behind the nose to go down toward the floor pan.
