This was the 1st test drive after total re do- the lugnuts came off -lost a tire/wheel and gas tank hit the road!! The lug bolts on the rear sxle were all stripped on threads 7 no one noticed when wheel installed. Check =YOUR NUTS!!

When I was in Highskl-50 years ago I had a skl friend that took a burned uip 40 foed 2dr. coupe- sanblasted it & made a show car out of it- painted in candy apple rred laquer!! 40 coats of hand rubbed paint- that was in 1964 & the paint woek/ body work then costs him 1200 bucks. think thats when we were paid 1.00 hr.

Dont know bout u, but i have a small fire extinguisher behind the seat Just to be sure... You never know what can happen. For example an old fuel line gives up.

yes, spicoli is sort of a role model for me. that is my standard reply for anything mechanical that is all fkd up.

Just curious, where did this happen and how long ago? Any onther info on what the owner is going to do with it, start over maybe? I agree that you can only hope it was fully insured. I know that I would be a wreck if something like this occured to me after spending all that time and money only to loose it right after finishing it. Scott...
