Project Beaver Wagon Empty Project Beaver Wagon

Post by Guest Mon May 09, 2011 7:55 pm

Yes, I named my van the "Beaver Wagon." Sorry if some of you chaps find that distasteful. What can I say? I'm a classy guy!
Here are my design ideas from a few months ago. It has a long way to go to get there but some of the features are an independent front suspension with power steering and disc brakes, air bag suspension and a 9" Ford style rear end, mini tubbed. All will be mounted to a custom tubular chassis, and then the body mounted back to the frame. I have an LS1 that I had built for the van. It should put out about 450hp to the rear wheels when tuned and I plan on installing a vintage air unit in it to keep it cool in the Texas heat.
Some of you will probably hate the color, the style etc. but this is basically pretty close to what I should end up with. Color is hard to reproduce with the computer though. I can post some of the rear renderings at another date. The theme of the van is blending late 60's Camaro (You'll notice the cutouts in the front, the mirrors etc.) with a modern suspension, tires, brakes and motor that can stop and go closer to modern vehicle.
I hope you like the renderings.

    Your renderings look great!
If I were asked, I'd like to see Concept 4 with the wheels off of Concept 1 and the exhaust from Concept 6 (?).
But then again, who asked me! jocolor

Concept 4 has 67' Camaro bumpers front and rear with 66' Chevy Pickup side trim. The trim takes some work and I think it might take 4 sets of the trim to splice to come up with this design. Still doable, just more work.

Hey Scotty, way cool I have a superchargered ls going in my van. I'm using the stock efi and wiring that came from the truck. Also I'll save you some headaches. Use the 6cyl engine crossmember(more pan clearance) I'm also using a f body oil pan the truck pan was like 3 inches below the front end Bob
