headers, cam and decked head Empty headers, cam and decked head

finally got my van back together today. it had the 250/6 intagrated head, and exhaust was cracked. swapped it to original type head and had it decked 60/1000. compression should be 9.6:1 now. bigger cam fell in while it was apart. comp cams 268 duration, 219 @ 50, and .529 lift. also installed headers but wont be keeping them, they hang too low. cleaned and painted everything while apart, fixed a few wires and got 'most' of the stuff in doghouse straightened out. looks much better and runs great. lot more power, starts easy, slight lope at idle but none of the problems you get with a bigger cam. headers will have to stay for a little while but glasspacks are coming off this weekend.

headers are about 4" - 5" from ground, they dont drag and have no problems yet and was on gravel roads last night but they could easily of fit 6" higher. i bought them to go on a 292 but put them on the 250. only 2" difference. it did create a problem with mount but was easily corrected. john 724 312 0285. afternoon or evenings.
