Well EVERYTHING that have thats van related will be going up for sale. Found out today that I am being laid-off as of April 8th. We have been mis-managed for to long at work and now there laying off anyone who is close to retirement in the maint. depatment. They called in 12 people today and we all got the axe. Guess its time to get out of dodge and liqudate my toy collection.

WOW = Mountian -thats sad and very regrettable. Its happened to a bunch of us over the years -new corporate ways to cut their losses. Dump all the good people that have built that work place. Sorry to hear that has happened.

And collect a full paycheck! With my disability insurance supplement that I have and SDI I'll get a full check till I get released to fully recovered. Good thing that I get smarter as I get older.

Good luck on the shoulder, and here's hoping the rest works out well too.
I was looking at the previous Co. I was working for, saw the bills going out and decided the stress, work, neighbors and commute weren't worth the beautiful So. Cal. weather. Bugged out to a much better situation.

Hang in there MK. I'm only working 28 hours a week myself these days and my weekend job at a LA city golf course was covering expenses until the Big G dropped 7" of rain in one day last Sunday. The LA river which normally is about 6" deep overflowed onto the course and buried 4 holes with 2 feet of mud. Going to be closed for 2 months during cleanup. I've never collected unemployment but make to much at 28 hours so I don't qualify? My wife is a fully credentialed teacher in 4 subjects....why she married me I'll never know....and taught for 22 years in a private school, got laid off last June here in la la land and has been unemployed since. Get as much as you can out of the system while you can.
