I picked up a set of really nice wheels
Thoughts about wheel spacers...Econo pickup Wheels11

They won't bolt up on the back cuz they hit the springs...its a 17x11 wheel..I looked at some spacers..looks like it might need a 1 1/2" to clear...

The front ones are 17 x 7 and hit the shocks on a hard turn..looks like maybe a 1/2" might clear that one.

I was looking for some aluminum slots but ran across these for a pretty good price..Tires are 315/35/17 on the 17x11 wheels and the tires are 245/45/17 on the front 17x7 wheels.

Id like to try to make them work...guy had em on a late model mustang...what do you guys think about using spacers like that? And does anybody know where to get em for a good price?

    Nice lookin set of wheels

you can get 1/2" spacers for the front but you will need longer studs and wheel bolt torque will become an important requirment from now on.
I presume its the wheels that have a major inset? If not you have to realize there will be steering geometry issuse.

For the rear you will need the moroso wheel stud kit with the studs that are about 2+1/2" long and have a set of custom spacers made at a machine shop like I did for mine which has 1" spacers. If you try to use a stack of spacers to make up 1.5" you will be expecting to loose a wheel. The spacer needs to be one spacer the right thickness.

I had to put a 1-1/2" (or so) spacer onto the back of my truck to make the rims fit. I strongly recommend getting the set I did. The spacer actually bolts to the hub, and then the wheel bolts to the spacer. This ensures a snug, secure fit, and there is no chance of the really long studs mentioned above flexing and breaking. I have no proof this would happen, but when you have an investment such as these, do you really want to take that risk? I bought mine off of ebay, below is a link, and bear in mind that I just did a random search on ebay for wheel spacers, but it gives you an idea of what I am talking about. Oh, and make sure to use loctite on the lugnuts that hold the spacer to the hub.

I had one of those addapter braek on a dun buggy I biult. You have to remove thew wheels to check the torque of the nuts and the addapter every now and then.

Heres the troture the studs get. The studs are moroso "grade 10", as long as they are torqued they don't flex.
